My New AIM sucks

I just upgraded my AIM, and it sucks. Whenever I log on to it, I can't use my web browser. Is there a way to fix it or downgrade to me original AIM

I use Trillian myself. Yahoo, AIM, MSN, ICQ & IRC all in one program. Free version and a pay-for version.

My advise is to backup all your files as soon as possible, and reformat your hard drive. That is the only way to save your computer. Best to do it now before the virus gets really bad. This is only my suggestion, by no means do you have to follow it.

I'm currently starting a war against AIM, but my crusade has not fully kicked off yet. Rest assured, I will not give up on it.

I second using Trillian. Nice and convienent.

Also, Gaim is pretty good.

edit - although the Windows version tends to be kind of buggy... I'm used to the Linux version, which works really well.

AIM -> spyware -> viruses

That's my theory, but I don't have any real proof yet.

I use trillian since in the MSDG many of the other nations use everything from ICQ-MSN, so I need all of them.

I haven't tried Gaim, but a coworker raves about it. I'm too used to trillian now to give it up and try something else.
