i summon the spirit of absolutezero also know as chris67132 and everybody who wants to contribute to the cause, help me with this map nobles club 67 saladin, i cant do it on noble (my current dificult level), (replay lot of times), i try settle all along the river whit floodplains+cottages and some grasslands (my best shot), but both romans dominate the map, july backstab me, and by the time i got cammel archers, he has a lot of troops, i try to stomp him but pikes and elephants+lots of troops end my game, it not the first map i got problems the other i replay a lot was nc46 isabella.
also, i tried axe rushes, on both lincon or churchill, not good, no no.

my cities are so unproductive, take for ever to produce units, where are the minerals, horses, elephants, iron?
:crazyeye:

hope you understand, English is not my language

Hi Diego!

I started this game on Noble to match what you would see (normally I'm on Immortal difficulty) and played up through 1000 BC. Here's my brief overview:

Settled 1S1W to get the Deer + Cow for my city.

City Build:
Worker - Warrior - Settler(@3pop) - Settler - Worker (Whipped) - Oracle (2x whip) - Library (2x whip)
Tech Path:
Hunting -> Agriculture -> Animal Husbandry -> Pottery -> Mining -> Bronze Working -> Meditation -> Priesthood -> Writing -> Alphabet -> Currency

2nd city starts @2480 BC, 3rd: 2040 BC, 4th: 1000 BC, 5th: ~720 BC (if I continued)
2nd city starts working the Deer camp to raise pop quickly, later would give back to Capital after it has the southern cow pasture.

Whipped 2nd worker at 1960 BC, overflow going into Oracle is nice, plus the worker can start chopping to help get Oracle sooner.

b/c this is noble, I decided not to use Oracle -> Metal Casting -> Pyramids trick, instead just straight-forward play and planned for Cottage Economy + Tech selling.
1440 BC, 4 forests chopped, double whipped Oracle (unnecessary whips, but meh.)
Oracle used on Metal Casting because it's a decent tech and it has the highest :science: cost available at the time.

1280 BC - Got Alphabet, traded Writing to Egypt for Fishing + Archery.
1160 BC - Traded Hannibal 4 minor techs for Iron Working.

At this point I have a pretty clear lead and I'm 1000-2000 :science: ahead of everyone. Although there aren't many good resources nearby to help with early wars (other than copper), if you set up some roads to other civs I'm sure you can trade for iron/ivory and go for some sort of killing blow to a civ or 2 before 500 AD, translating the clear tech lead into a clear army/land lead.

2nd city location:

3rd:

4th: (And planned 5th) (6th city planned south of capital, sharing cows, owning pigs)

As for the issue with production, you have plenty of :food:! You don't need :hammers: so long as you have :food:, :), and whipping!

You can try playing from this save @ 1000 BC if you think it will help you, otherwise just following the basic overview should get you near the same position which looks to be winning pretty heavily.

*Note: Lincoln is the worst enemy of 3 civs, so I will not open borders with him. Tokugawa and Churchill are worst enemies, I think Churchill is closer to me than Tokugawa so I'd rather not open borders with Tokugawa yet. This will help deter bad relations by preventing those "Stop trading with so-and-so or we will be mad!" screens.

With the Romans you either need to take them out before Praets, or well after when they become obsolete. Most realistic options that work at any difficulty would be HAs (before Praets), maces/trebs (maces get excellent odds against praets) or cuirs.

holy :) :) :) :):) :) :) :):) :) :) :):) :) :) :) man amazing work, my capital was 1w from yours for the extra health freshwater, losing a turn, then my second city is on 1E-1S from your damascus, not a realy fan of jungles, that is my error.

i replay it yesterday and come to a point when i got trebs and maceman-cammels even got to rifling but im not close to make an army to fight against july+hatty/lincon/mahmed 2/3 get vassals every game and gets granadiers, war its inminent, churchill getting big also keep stacking units on my borders, y keep making units and wiping buildings like mad, i was the tech leader until lib, in one game toku gets lib 2 turns before me (i know its weird i was shoked)
then i realize i was playing on prince the entire games
now i gonna replay it on noble
thx friends

part 1
holy f, i start a noble game as usual, noble- quick game- aggresive ia- no technology brokering-no random events- no huts;

techs: hunting>ah>agro>mining>bw>techs to oracle

start on worker, warrior, warrior, warrior, settler, settler, whip settler, archer, oracle
barbs are a problem so 1archer+2axes on every city radius

win oracle-pyramids(great ingener hurry)- great library- statue of zeus- ank- sankore- pentagon on 3 cities super productive farms+hammers; other 3 citys along the river full cottages.

win lib>bulb nationalism (meh, also win economics)

got rifles, start the rifle production, july its busy on hatty, i decide go for churchill, so i take 5 cities and vassal him, return 3 but take his capital and other for the luxury resources; on the same turn i vassal him, july backstab me and take 1 crapy sand city with elephants+trebs;

"oh, man, you made a mistake"
retake the city with rifles, 30-40 rifles on his territory taking city after city, got infantery.
but my economy its crushed, so i return some cities to hatty;
july capitulate; 2 turns later toku-hannibal declare war on me and my 2 vassals;
at this point churchil goin on a rampage after i give him acces to infantery (inf vs samurais)
100 turns left

hannibal got crush by churchill longbows vs infantery;
toku capitulate;
america capitualte to mehmed+hatty
i capture some citys from america and egipt and give them to churchill and july to makeme some meatwall;
focus on mehmed, he has infantery also, but i got nukes pretty;
20 turns left mehmed capitulate, america dies and hatty cap, she has only 1 city =(
augustus is building a spaceship
time victory... meh well at least i finish the map...
thx inova
