Hi modders, previously I posted a request on here for assistance finishing a personal use mod. I have figured out how to implement what I want for myself, however I am getting an irritating problem.
What I have done is create a mod that grants a promotion to Recon and Raider class units allowing them to enter foreign lands without requiring open borders first, like religious units are able to do.
I'm happy to report that I've gotten the actual functionality to work as intended. As to the irritating problem I'm encountering please note I've attached 3 screenshots to this post to provide context for what I am experiencing and which show the functionality working. The irritating problem is that I cannot deliberately order a unit (Scout in all test cases so far) to move into any foreign lands, whether they are of a city state or another civilisation (see Ordering a move into foreign lands 1 jpg attached for context). However the Scouts, all of them used in the tests so far are perfectly able to enter and pass through foreign lands without any issues whatsoever if I give them an order to move to somewhere on the other side of the foreign territory I wish to enter (see Ordering a move into foreign lands 2&3 for context). It's just I cannot deliberately order a move into foreign lands; every-time I try I get the do you want to declare war screen popping up (again see Ordering a move into foreign lands 1 jpg attached for context).
What I want to know is how can I implement a solution to allow me to deliberately order a move into foreign lands without having the declare war screen pop up? Is it even possible? I suspect it is as GeloDGreat used to have a mod called Scouts Ignore Borders that flawlessly allowed this (it's just that mod is currently not working anymore for some reason and he/she hasn't been actively modding Civ VI for a while now).
Any ideas or assistance in resolving this problem would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers, jakob51 (cobber51 on Steam/Workshop)
