This civ franchise is going completely to hell; I'm getting out before I waste more of my money.
Civ2 was such a fantastic game, highly innovative and definetely better then anything came out before - (note: this game was only topped by CTP&alpha centari) - and then civ3 came our ....... boy what a dissapointment that was
... and now 'this' *points at civ4 game*! There is almost everything thats wrong with this game! I'm not even gonna' bother mentioning any of my complaints, this forum is already littered with people complaining or mentioning "weird events"(ex tank panzer killed by archer, whole city survives nuclear war,etc).
and does that quite nicely I may add.
Guess they didn't fix the tank being killed by spearman issue cuz now its an archer
For everyone that enjoys civ4, this watered down, nutered civ3 game, I am very happy for you because I can no longer tolerate and accept such stupidities/game slowdowns/no space age/ and generally 'not-fun' experience. For all you that defend this game, and all you that will join in and attack this thread after I post, be aware that I am NOT a troll or a spammer, I was a huge fan and have been supporting this series for a long time just like you all are(and why I joined this forum), but after this "civ4" game, I am horribly embarised to be even associated with you my former fic-fanatics.
For a long time civ veteran, I can confidently sign out and say:
"Strange game, only winning move is not to play."
