I know that it sounds made up, but it really happened.
I`m playing unpatched 2.9 without any modmods.
Snail speed, so a golden age lasts ~30 rounds.
I got the wonder wich increases the length by 50% (accidentially, I was building it for fail money). So a golen age lasts ~45 turns.
I have had already 2 golden ages in the past, when I finnished taj mahal.
During that golden age, I got my third needed GP, so I launched my 4. GA. I also got the quest to get 22 riflemen. I could easily afford to upgrade my garrisons, snd since I had the taj mahal, I got to chose a GA as reward.
And while I´m at, I quickly switched over to nagualism, build the pyramid of the magi, giving me my sixth GA.
Since 4 of them were in direct succession, I had 180 turns of GA.
It ruled.
