Professor-Gamer
Chieftain
I have thought of this for long.
There should be made 2 special modes for units: "Agressive" and "Defensive". How do they work?
Imagine you have a pikeman (1.3.1), and you press his "Agressive" button (He doesn't have "Defensive"), and for a short period the pikeman gains either:
A) +1 attack, or
B) attack equaled to his defense
Amount of turns spent in "Agressive" stance can be made either:
A) A fixed amount of turns per unit, and can then never be used again.
B) Special "Stamina"-bar, which drains rather quickly, but repelishes as fast as a turtle. F.ex., the bar is 12 units long. Each turn spent in "Agressive" stance drains 3 units. If it is deactivated, the units repelish 1/turn.
No need to say that the offencive units(cavalry) will only be available to get "Defensive" state. That could be a new way to fight! The war strategy becomes even more important: when to activate the "Agression"? Just before city, to take it easily, or before that SoD to the left, so that the enemy is disarmed?
