new diplomacy text

I've always found the wording in the diplomacy a bit off and too dry for my liking.
Maybe because as a young kid, I couldn't exactly understand what they were saying.

In the attached file, there's the king.txt which you can put in your folder.
The text of the newspaper, and the diplomacy text and some others will change.

If you don't like it, you can just replace it with the original king.txt file that you made a backup of.
You did make a backup - right?

If someone has good additions or changes, please feel free to make them and upload them. But only change firaxis text, not mine. Thanks.

With opening text I mean the opening text in diplomacy where the leaders say "It is I, leader of men and conqueror of worlds etc"

Ah ok. I definitely I haven't seen that in any of the .txt files.

Yep, it's in exe. Leader of 2nd pink civ is hard-coded to be "Empress" and "Queen", but Elizabeth is still "He who makes mortals tremble" in one of the greetings. There's 4 greetings, and which one is used is random. "O most untrustworthy leader of the infidels" for vendetta and "Our words are backed with N U C L E A R W E A P O N S" are in exe too. And because comp. civ never goes through anarchy, you never can get "Mr." here, which would sound very strange ("the most exalted Mr.", for example).

Yes, it is fully and absolutely editable. What you have to keep in mind is that it has variables and it is not a single greeting, as Tupi has said.
