New European map and scenarios

Hi !

I am quite new on this site ; where can I send the scenarios I have created ?

I've attached a large map of Europe to this message. I was never happy with the map I had downloaded so far, so I worked quite a long time to make a new one, larger and more accurate, I hope, than others. It is never perfect ; I would have to re-work on so region, like Turquey that I have a bit neglected as it is not really Europe. I have recently travel extensively around parts of Europe I didn't know yet (central Europe, Spain and Portugal especially). I hope you'll like it.

P.S. : I joined 2 Terrain files that go with the map. Notice that otherwise you should change the Jungle squares into Steppe and the Glacier into Mediterranean land type.
All this to give more realism to the game, as the climate is more diverified in Europe than just Plains and Grassland, Hills, Forests and Mountains.

You've come to the right place (almost). Civfan accepts maps.

What you need to do is contact thunderfall. Go to the front page and you will see lots of news tiems with the words posted by thunderfall. Just click the underlined name and send him your files or simply tell him about the existance of this thread.

I forgot to tell you about the ressources of the new type of lands. Here are the values I use (food/production/trade):

Mediterranean : 2/1/1
Steppe : 1/0/0
Desert : 0/0/0
Pigs : 3/2/1
Grapes or Wine : you choose (I have 3 different depending if they grow on Hills or Mediteranean land : 1/0/4, 1/1/3, 2/1/4)
Cereals (Steppe) : 7/1/0
Wheat (Plains) : 3/0/0
Horses (Steppe or plains) : 2/3/1

Feel free to customize, of course.

Create a new scenario with this map (even if you don't change the tech tree or anything else) and use arrange the names and caracteristics of each type of land.
Then enjoy yourself, waiting I am ready with my European scenarios...
