I was wondering if there is a way to take the way Final Frontier accesses the planets and use that for a regular game of Civ. If you could have the workable area based on the terrain outside the city, even better if you can have it take into account the improvements built on it. This would allow you to eventually have more than one person work on a tile, you could also build lesser improvements in the city screen on the tiles themselves and still have city wide buildings. So say you have cows you could build a pasture on a farm to increase the food by one.
Another benefit of this is that you would be able to ignore the limits on the regular system (so you wouldn't have to worry about the game not displaying more the 9 food, production, or gold).
My problem is I don't know enough about python to do it. I looked over the city code, but it is mostly foreign to me. What does everyone think, if we can generate enough interest maybe we can find someone to work on this.
