New Option To Consider??

Well with the release of the new patch I am sure Sirian is going to get cracking on making that map :goodjob:

However do we need to discuss the new rule that has come into being?

* Require Complete Kills game option
--Basically you must kill all units not just take over/rase all cities

Now in single player I would see this as nothing but a nuisance trying to find the last unit of some civ who has no cities left.

But in the event that the MTDG gets violent and some team loses all of thier cities it could be conceivable for them to regain one/two the next turn if there military was able to survive for the interim. (or at least enact some more rage on the next turn, finally diplomatic options allowing an ally to set up a new 'capital' for you)

Personally I think this is an important rule to discuss, but I could be wrong :(
 
Sorry, but I think people have waited long enough, and a discussion on this could add a few more days. Plus, there aren't nearly all the active people in each forum at this point -- they are waiting for the game to start. That option also sort of sounds like a pain, especially if the map isn't a pangea. I do remember reading something by a Firaxis member that the option was intended for scenarios.
 
I feel that this option gives teams the infamous settler in a galley scenario that plagues [c3c] . IMO it's an annoying feature. And if you empty out every city to the point where you can't defend it to attack another civ, then well.... let's just say that's not smart and leave it at that.
