Here is my idea of new wonders
supreme court- give every city of yours on the same contient a courthouse
libary of congress- give every city of yours on the same contient a libary
FBI headquaters- give every city of yours on the same contient a police station
CIA headquaters- gives you 50% better chance of espoinage.

The supereme court idea makes a lot of sense. It would make more sense if courthouses actually did something...

Would these be great wonders or small wonders?

well, i can tell what country you live in, anyway, thise are good ideas (i sugested changing the FP's ability to include puts a couethouse ion every city on the same continent), change the name so they are more multi-cultural, and maybe they'll get in, all though some are just too good

To keep them inline with existing wonders, only the CIA should be a small wonder. The others put something in every continental city, ala Pyramids etc, so I would think they'd be great wonders.

"CIA headquaters- gives you 50% better chance of espoinage."
I firmly disagree with this. Because historically, 95% of the CIA's important operations FAIL. I mean who knows how many times the CIA has tried to kill Castro, not to mention the Bay of Pigs fiasco, the U2 spy planes getting constantly shot down and more recently the CIA's complete ineptitude at dealing with 9/11. The only succesful (and important) CIA operation which comes to mind was their stopping the Italian communists from being elected.

Now, I like the idea of a spy boosting wonder, but CIA is not it.

The other wonders might get in, but they really need to be more multicultural, after all there is some civilization outside the US.

or maybe, there has been a 75% sucess rate that was to secret to tell the public about, and currently we have replaced castro with a double, and didn't want to announce it so no one would get mad

[realtity talking] right... and pigs will fly, Iraq has WMD's, and you'd look goodwith a belly button ring [/relaity]

The names of the wonders should be culture generic, rather than purely multicultural. I think Supreme Court is harmless enough. Perhaps Library of Congress could a Public Education wonder? The FBI could easily be a Law Enforcement wonder. I mean, we already have small wonders generically named Intelligence Agency and so forth...

Versailles: Commercial, comes with Fuedalism; increases revenue in city that builds it, expires with Democracy
Suez Canal: Commercial, Seafaring, Expanionist(?), comes with Magnetism or Steam Power; add +1 movement to all ships -or- add increased revenue in city -or- places harbor in all coastal cities
Sydney Opera House Commercial, Industrious, comes with Computers; makes 4 unhappy people content in city, 4 ctp.

From one of the many earlier threads on this topic, my list of civ-specific wonders. Still without the C3C civs.

Yellowstone National Park America
Ritual Sacrifice Aztecs
Code of Hammurabi Babylon
Grand Canal Chinese
Sphinx Egypt
Camelot English
World Health Organization France
Compulsory Education Germany
Odyssee Greeks
Taj Mahal India
Three Sisters Iroquois
Shuri Castle Japan
Safiedin Bathhouse Persia
Inquisition Rome
Trans-Siberian Railroad Russia
Crescent Formation Zululand

Thousand and One Nights Arabia
Alphabet Carthagians oh wait, this is a tech ...
Stonehenge Celts
Movable Type Korea
Postal Service Mongols
Topkapi Palace Ottomans
Armada Spain
Althing Vikings

Versailles is a good idea but it should be such that you have to buy it instead of building it with shields but it costs like 10k shields so a rush would cost half your treasure. Just like the real one.

I could see the Sydney Opera House being a small wonder as a National Opera House...

Having civilization specific units was one of the more interesting changes from the previous Civ's, it gives III much more flavor. I too would like to see this extended to small wonders...

great wonders

let not make civ spefic wonders
what would they do

I like some of the ideas, but the game already has too many wonders. They are no longer that special... (and would become even more ordinary with more wonders)

Torre de Belém - Portugal
Delta Works - Dutch
Maya Calendar - Maya
Reciprocity - Inca
Epic of Gilgamesh - Sumeria
Temple of Mabog - Hittites
Hagia Sophia - Byzantium

.... which leaves the Barbarians. :)
