NEW SCENARIO: Carolus Gustavus Reagis

<img src="http://www.civfanatics.com/images/civ2scen/gustav.jpg" align=right border=1>Henrik Lohmander's Carolus Gustavus Reagis scenario has been added to the <a href="http://www.civfanatics.com/civ2downloads.shtml">Downloads Collection</a>. This scenario is about the Swedish king Karl X Gustav and his wars in Poland and Denmark. The scenario starts in 1655 and ends 1660, each turn is one month. You will need Civ2 Gold to play this scenario. No screenshots of the scenario are available because I can't get it to work on my computer... But from the scenario's graphics files, it looks like a very refined scenario with beautiful graphics.

PS: Let me know if anyone can get this scenario to work. On my machine it caused an error in civ2.exe.

Henrik built this scenario on a Mack, which is probaly why you are having problems with it, TF.

Yep! Works fine on my version of MGE (PC).
No problems until now, it seems!

This is my first released scenario (although other siteshad it for about a month or two since they are faster at uploading...)

Critisism is needed and appreaciated (even if it is bad critisism)...

Oh and all my playtesters where using PCs so I don't think that is what is wrong (there has been a conflict whit "The Ultimate Civ2 edition" though, but I have a solution for that one now).

I must say that I am quite impressed with this scenario, Henrik. I haven't played all the way thru it yet, though, so I'll give you a report when I finish playing. First time I played as the Danes/Lowlands, and it was quite disastrous. I'll try the Swedes next.

I really like the change of season thing -it's just beautiful!

It is really imaginative -I've never seen it in other scenarios. -One thing, though, it gets a little frustrating in the long run. Just as you embark on a campaign, suddenly it is winter, and you can't continue until summer. -But I guess this is quite intentional!

You need to plan your campaigns whit the summer in mind, if you play the Swedes attacking Denmark in the winter can give you Copenhagen due to the frozen water in "Lilla bält" och "stora bält" (anyone know the english names for those?).
