new techs?

has there been any word on any new techs, or anything of that nature?
I think civ3 sorta lacked in that department,and I would like to see more modern/future techs, what about you guys?

I would hope there are no unrealistic future techs.

In one interview a Firaxis employee (can't remember who) told that after the Modern era techs have been discovered, you discover techs called "Future technology 1" and so on, as in previous games. This time they give you more happiness and such, though.

But the "Future Tech" has been in Civ III as well. Only this time it is more useful.
