Sorry to bump this 8 months later but the palinquin seems to have 4 tile-like segments in the top cross-like structure. Could you possibly do a little palette editing an' make these similar to the army unit.

This would allo for a more 'saurus' army instead of the classical human leader.
 
1) Perhaps, but would seem odd for lizards to have a 'warm-blood' as the general :)

2) Unit creating wonders create any unit, including army type unit and can be make these to specific rule sets. So a wonder, say 'school of Rex', can build these Slann generals instead of regular leaders.
 
Unfortunately I suspect too much palette editing would have to be done. According to Kinboat when he made the roman army, two entire rows of colors in the palette are taken up by the army-specific coloring, which left only like 4 or 5 for other colors. Considering how many different colors are in the original, I doubt it'd be possible to make a high-quality army leader out of this (easily at least - it could probably be re-rendered to look good), as cool as it would be :(
 
i am glad this was bumped i saw it on mod previews but i couldent find it :)
 
I would have to be a complete re-rendering... to put the four new colors in. That and the palette issues would seem to make this unlikely.
 
Sorry to bump this, although it is incredibly well made and great to bring back into the light for a bit for some refreshment!

Anyways, the reason for the bump was to ask if anyone knows of existing sounds for this unit? I checked my WH mod, which includes this unit, and there are no sounds or links to sounds. Perhaps I just have too early a version of the WH mod downloaded, but if anyone can either upload the sounds for me, send them zipped via message or email, or provide me with a link to the sounds, I'd be very grateful!

Check out tjedge1's Mystara Mod, I was one of the betatesters and I'm sure he added sounds to all the units without, including this one.

Edit: The Warhammer Mod 2.5 also have sounds to the Slann.
