newbie with a question

hi guys,
i was updating yesterday from version 1.61 to 1.74 i got the d/l done then at the end of the install everything comes to a stop. i hit cancell and since there is no uninstall i tried using the windows add/remove programs feature and it gives me an error number 5004. i went in and deleted the files that i could find but there is still about 67.33 MB left that i can't find. i cant reinstall until this is gone

Which version of Vanilla is this? Regular retail, Steam, D2D? What OS are you using?

The 67.33 MB is probably living in your Documents folder, under "My games" or something. That has to go before you can reinstall in some versions. That's the best that I can offer without some more information.
