No Alluminium On the Whole Map!!!!!

is it possible that the WHOLE map doesnt have a single source of Alluminium? The problem is that I rushed my science JUST to research Synthetics Fibers, and now i researched it, i wanna buid the MI(MA) and have been saving to upgrade all of my tanks... but as I scan the map I see no alluminium

Yeah, I did the same thing once. That tech is NOT what gives you visibility to aluminum. If I remember correctly, it's the same tech that gives you TOW infantry. I am at work right now, so I can't check to see which tech that is.

yes, it's roughly or precisely as allin1joe said. It's one of the first techs in that modern age. Just look them over and see the resource statements which will be at the top if there are any. It does seem peculiar on the surface, that a resource so vital to the rest of the game, isn't in the same research branch for the most arguably impressive unit in the game.

The tech Rocketry gives you aluminum. I presume it's possible for it to be nowhere on the map, but doubtful.

thanks....since unless i upgrade all my tanks to MI's and PWN everybody's tank,they will PWN me, with 2x more tanks, but MI > 5 tanks

Research rocketry. Synthetic Fibers doesn't show aluminum, but Rocketry does.

I never remember a game without a resource. I did have one game that had only one coal though.

I played a game with the "paths of Glory mod" (try it you'll like it)
and my map did not have stone, , a prety important resource, you need it to build three of your happiness building, city walls and a few other improvements.

Ah but it was a good excuse to rape and pillage, take over the world, you know the song

lol i researched it , fouund the alluminium, upgraded my tanks and every single civ went like OMFG he got MI. in 2 turns 5 of them did peace treaties. in 20 turns i got nukes.
NUKES + MI + COMP HAS NO NUKES = CONQUEST VICTORY

Technically, it is not possible for there to be no source of aluminium in the unmodded game.

If you check out the editor help files, it says that the "Appearance Ratio" sets how many resources occur, depending on the number of players. By default I think this is 160, so that apparantly means 2 resources per players if there are eight players.

In conquests vanilla, this value is 120, so that should mean 2 per player if there are six players, so theoretically, there should never be none.

However, saying this, I have known some resources to be completely missed off, but in this case you have some, good for you!

you need rocketry until you get it you cant see aluminium.
