Is there a way to download CIVBE to a laptop that does not have a CD ROM? I already purchased the physical software but my one laptop's graphics do not support the game graphics so I was going to try it on my other laptop that does not have a CD ROM drive. I've tried just about everything to update the graphics on my main laptop.

I've been playing CIV since the first one...got it back in '93 or '94 and I've been purchasing and playing the new versions every time they come out. I'm really anxious to hit the ground running BE. Any help is appreciated! In the meantime I'll keep playing CIV5.

Thanks all!

It's a Steam game, meaning you can install it through Steam and log in and you can download it.

If you already installed Civ:BE on another PC/laptop, just download Steam and log-in and you can install it. If you haven't, also install Steam, make an account if you don't have one and then register your CD key in Steam - they you'll be able to download it.

Steam is mandatory anyway, so you have to install and register it. Steam, by the way, allows unlimited downloads.

If you don't feel like downloading everything, you can always copy the files (which primarily live in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Sid Meier's Civilization Beyond Earth) onto a flash drive and then start your install - it should be just a few minutes.
