No Intro, No Welcome Screen

Ok, I installed my Civ4 and when try to load it I get a blue screen while i hear the intro music play, then when i cancel out of the intro screen i get the the screen with the revolving world and the civ 4 logo on the top which is what im assuming is the screen that will have the buttons to start a new game or have option, multiplayer, settings etc. i dunno but all i see is the world and the civ 4 logo. Its like the buttons are there but the are invisible... helllllllllp

I had the same problem, but it was easy to fix.

I scrolled down to the unpacking the Art Pack File section, and after doing that it showed the intro movie and menu.

I'm having the same problem: blue screen, only sound during intro and a globe with the civ 4 logo but no menu. Succeeded to lauch a game by clicking and hitting enter like mad and there I could see the world and my units but no menus or buttons.


PC is intel 4: 512MB 2.8Ghz
with NVIDIA Geforce FX5600

Any suggestions on how to resolve this?

Yea i have the exact same problem, i thought i was the only one.. blue screen with the music, then the revolving world with no menu! Whats that about?! Please help..
