No scrolling in windowed mode?

I changed the Fullscreen switch in Civ4 config file to 0 so that the game would play in Windowed mode. Now, the game won't scroll when I move my cursor to the edges of the window/screen. So I have to click the left mouse button (annoying in general and especially when I have to move units off the screen).

I'll bug if after a little research. Anyone else seen this problem?

Did you turn on the mouse scrolling in winowed mode flag in the ini file also?

Haven't tried it, so dunno if it works, but there's also an option in the ini file to have scrolling work in windowed mode

by default its

; Allow Mouse Scrolling in Windowed mode
MouseScrolling = 0

I tried windowed mode to see if it would solve the 'vanishing mouse-over' problem, but it actually made it worse, so I went back to full screen. I didn't try editing the above portion of the ini, so haven't seen it in action. It otherwise ran fine in windowed mode though, for the very short time I tried it.

Works great for me! You have to learn where to put the mouse on the edge, with a few minutes practice it becomes easy.

In Windows mode, I only get the vanishing mouse issue when the window is the same size as my desktop and I try to click the Windows max/min/close buttons on the top toolbar. I set my system display screen resolution to 1152x864, and in the Civ4 ini file set the window size to 1024x768. This causes the default window to be slighly smaller than my desktop and I do not have the vanishing mouse issue.

i've been playing in windowed mode, the only change i made to the file was putting ask in it, i did not change the scroll options. i move the units by numpad, i scroll by using the arrow keys. doesn't help you if you want to use the mouse to scroll, but mentioning it in case you didn't know it was there. this doesn't work if my mouse is outside the game on something else, but as long as my mouse is anywhere on the civ4 screen it scrolls just fine.
