No Texts in 1.61

Has anyone else experienced this. There are NO texts in my game since I downloaded the new patch! I am working on getting a screenshot, but it is tough to start a game because the main menu has no text either!!

I tried to uninstall the Patch 1.61 but when i went to the patch folder in the civ4 folder, it does not show it in there. But the patch is installed!

(I know this is in the wrong section of the forum, but this seems like a major problem, and It would be nice to have responses to it now, since there are usually one 5 people in the technical support with their own problems.)

Same thing happened to me. A clean reinstall of the game and patch fixed it.

Have you tried emptying your custom assets folder? Some of the problems definitely seem to be caused by mods.

Just rename the CustomAssets folder in My Doc. to CustomAssets_old

What caused my problem was changing the text with CivScale before I patched.

You need up update any modded GlobalDefines.xml for the new patch. The first three variable should be updated (patch version, save version, and max languagues).

Traxis....I had the same problem as you. I messed with the texts with Blue Marble. I did the complete re-install and it works fine again. Thanks tons!!!
