I saw this in OT a couple of minutes ago:

So far as I was aware you had to have a title for a thread. What happened? How did he do that?

There's nothing in the first post of that thread either...

EDIT: He used open and close character tags with only space between them:

I don't think you need a title for a new thread, I am pretty sure you can just leave it blank, and submit the thread. Now, if you post, and leave it blank, that is SPAM!!!

In an effort towards forum efficiency, pls give titles to your threads so that posters can know what it's about, roughly, at a glance.

Anyone wanting to play games with this, will... :satan:

You guys are no fun. :p

It's like a suprise grab-bag! You simply don't know what you're going to get! That's where all the fun is - is the thread on politices, a new newsstory, a question on the mystery of life? Who knows! It's exciting, if you ask me. :)

What title appears would depend on what fonts are loaded.
It is a violation of forum rules.
"Use descriptive subject lines & research your post.
This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read."

It's done using the space character that appears with ALT+some number combination. Don't remember what. It's the typical problem (and spam, definitely) in many forums.
