Great Sejm's Civilizations

Hello and thank you for visiting my thread! I'm here too show off some Civilizations I might plan to work on sometime in the future as well as provide some amateur historical insight on them. I've currently been learning through a small guide on /r/ civ (by someone named GPuzzle1) but if there are any other handy guides or available tutelage on coding it'd be very much appreciated.

Civilizations

Tokugawa Shogunate
Leader: Tokugawa Yoshinobu

UA: Rebirth of Ieyasu: All Units gain Experience for every Embassy you share with Civilizations larger than you upon declaring :c5war: War. Earn a +50% :c5strength: Combat Strength against Enemy Units of a more advanced Technology.

UU: Denshutai: Replaces the Rifleman. Much more stronger (39 :c5strength: Strength) but costlier to produce (300 :c5production:) it starts off with the Drill I and II Promotions.

UU: Shogitai: Replaces the Knight. Does not require Horses and is considered an Infantry Unit. It also has no :c5strength: Combat Penalty against Cities and may force Units to retreat if it deals more damage than it receives.

Vichy France
Leader: Philippe Petian

UA: Zone Libre: Cities that remain in active :c5occupied: Occupied have thier :c5culture: Culture yields accumulated in the :c5capital: Capital and experience no :c5production: Production penalties. Excess :c5unhappy: Unhappiness from Citizens is halved.

UU: Miliciens: Replaces Infantry. Upon capturing a City the Milice has a higher chance of depleting :c5citizen: Population. May be upgraded from Workers at the cost of :c5gold: Gold.

UB: Ilag: Replaces the Barracks. +1 :c5happy: Local Happiness for every Science Building present in the City. Increases to +2 in conquered Cities.

With Cities in Development active:
UU: Milice: Upon capturing a City the Milice has a higher chance of depleting :c5citizen: Population. Crime is decreased by -5% for every Level this Unit has attained. Doubled in conquered Cities.

UB: Ilag: Loyalty from City :c5trade: Connections are doubled. +1 :c5production: Production from Specialists.

America Split

United Colonies
Leader: George Washington

UA: Legacy of Saratoga: All Friendly or Allied City-States give Units regardless of type. Enemy Units entering American Territory have thier :c5moves: Movement bonuses negated.

UU: Minuteman: Replaces Musketman. Cost no maitnence and may be trained immediately if a :c5citizen: Citizen is expended in a City.

UB: Tavern: Replaces Windmill. Much lower :c5production: Production cost (165 :c5production:). +2 :c5food: Food and +1 :c5happy: Happiness from certain Resources*.

Jacksonian America

Designs in Progress

Spoiler :

Hungary under John Hunyadi
Hungary under Lajos Kossuth
Hungary under Imre Nagy
Nez Perce under Chief Joseph

Hungary Split, don't you need an original Hungary for that?

Also... I kinda wonder on what got you interested in the last Tokugawa specifically.

Yeah a mod made by JFD I think? Unless splits are technically directed toward firaxis civs specifically which I think is what you mean so thanks for clearing that up for me!

the Boshin War- the fighting between isolationist shogunate and and the up and coming Meiji empire provided for an interesting scenario. You also get French people in Japan seemingly quicker than expected...

I thought that someone called Great Sejm would be interested in Poland...
Welcome to the forums, anyway. :goodjob:

I am most definitely interested in Poland (Polska Stronk!) however I want to develop more inquiry and ideas so I can tackle it properly.

Anyway I finished the Tokugawa Shogunate. A civilization that focuses on establishing diplomatic relations and utilizing outdated units at your advantage.

Okay, problems:
1. Barrage promotions are for ranged units.
2. UUs that come after each other tech wise? But if one does not obsolete, whats the point at giving them another UU from the same upgrade line?
3. The UA is a bit OP: 50% combat bonus against gun units for injured units...

1. I might be confusing it with Drill I so thanks for the correction.
2. I was trying to think of something historically fitting. You make a point so I think i'll go down the mounted unit line and make it a Knight Replacement with some changes.
3. I changed it to: "Earn a +50% Combat Bonus against Units of a more advanced Technology".

Thanks for the constructive criticism I really appreciate it knowing someone cares! I also changed the Denshutai to a Rifleman replacement. Thanks Natan!
