Hi everyone, I just had a quick simple question. I was wondering if it's possible to move your icon diagonally in Civ1 manually. Thank you very much. :)

Edit: I was also wondering, is there any way to skip the intro at the beginning? Thank you!

Hi,

simply use the num-block on the keyboard instead of the normal cursors.

To skip the intro sometimes you have to push the spacebar multiple times.

You can also use the Right Mouse Button to move units around; i.e. press the button over an adjacent square and the unit will move onto it.
Painfully time-consuming, I agree, but useful if NumLock isn't an option!

Always getting problems because my laptop doesnt have any num block :(
My laptop is lacking num block too, so I bought a USB num pad. They are cheap. I can also use a special mode on my keyboard to substitute a numpad, but it's inconvenient.

You just need to press any key (it can be the space bar or other key) to skip the intro. Depending on your computer speed it may take less or more time to produce the desired effect. After any key has been pressed the Intro will stop as soon as the world map is complete.
