I have recently embraced the pleasures of PBEM in a big way ... see sig :p

One of the beauties of playing against other humans is that Trade and Diplomacy is wonderfully enhanced ... I have just started exploring this exciting element and would like to see how others address it ...

How does one calculate the value of things :confused:

Does this Law apply: if so let it be the 1st Law of Civ PBEM :lol:

1 Shield = 1 Flask = 1 Gold

Following, (Assuming that this is indeed the Law) ... the Base value in Gold -

A Technology = Flask cost
Worker or Slave = Shield cost
World Map and Territorial Map = no idea :hmm: maybe 1 Gold per Tile :confused:
Going to War = no idea, I guess depends on BP (Big Picture)
ROP = no idea
Resources = no idea
Luxuries = no idea


Additional PBEM Option

Buy City = Total Buildings (in shields) + Settler (shields) + Terrain Improvements (?) ... don't know :crazyeye:

Worker Action (Roads,Mines, irrigate, Forts, etc) = Time Taken x 1 Gold
Hiring Work Gang to build road to Resource = Time taken x 2 Gold
Build Colony = Time Taken x 2 Gold + Worker Shield cost
Hire Guards = Time x 1 Gold

Can anyone help or input on this :goodjob:
