I keep reading threads, comments of how the game is broken yadda yadda yadda, and I'll grant most of these are true. However this is a remake of a "broken" game (by today's definition of broken) it was never a fully perfect as people seem to demand today.

still Col1 I played for years...I mean Yeeaaarrrss...cuz broken or not , frustratining or not it was still the most fun I could have with my clothes on which didn't involve having to clean something up after.

which at least to what I understand the word to mean, is a game is supposed to be fun. I would rather shell out 40 bucks for a broken sid game that I will still playing the next time I buy underpants rather than a game I'll be bored with the next time I wash my socks (that's an old guy joke btw, if you didn't get it, you're not old enough yet)

we have gotten so sophisticated in our tastes and demands, and every anus-wipe thinks they can do it better, codewise, designwise, otherwise, but ya didn't, follow Dale's/snoopy's example and fix what you think is broken; don't use exploits if you don't like em and start calling for a long term patch (in a way that the game designers will listen to, "you suck" isnt' a good way to present an arguement)

Now I have to go find my claustomy bag and toupee, I hope I don't get the two confused again..you kids behave you're driving me crazy! :)
 
these comments come from the one who always use the same strat, they don't see any meaning to features incompatible with their strat, and think they are broken

* lots of colonies
* few colonies

* selling to europe (you don't produce so much the price will drop too fast)
* selling via warehouse extension (it's a pain to send goods in europe when produce lots of goods, only to have its price drop very fast)

* don't use elders (not enought colonie to get a use of the ff)
* put elders in factories (the ref won't be so much bigger, the ff and extra production give a huge boost)

* keep alive the native (you won't use their land, don't have too much veterans to train on native, buy ressource from them for you factories)
* kill the native (specialists will get more ressources for your factories than these villages, you have to train your army for the revolution, and your expension will make them attack you anyway)

etc etc etc

each nation/leader bonus, ff, trade, etc etc have a use in a strat (and none in others strats)
