I was afraid when i read the combat system will be unit by unit for defense and attack.
I hope it won't be like in ctp2.
In civ2 it's unit by unit which is quite repulsive for someone who played ctp where you can group ur units and attack or defend with real armies(all the army that fights).
In CTP2,there r armies but the combat system is one by one...imagine u have 8 units on the battlefield and ur enemy has 5;3 of ur units don't fight(quite idiot...i can't figure out a commandant saying"guys...the combat is unfair;the 3 of u take a beer...we'll call u if we have a prob"
However,in CTP1 sometimes only a few units fight on the battlefield and the others shoot just after(because the others rnt needed or some reason i don't know)
To my mind, the CTP1¨combat system is the good one... so i hope it will be in Civ3
