'Ground Zero' is a military term which refers to the area immeadiately underneath a nuclear detonation. He is not talking about 9-11.

Actually there are 3 terms. 1.The place where the world trade towers used too stand(boy are we gonna be rewriting the dictionary). 2. The direct center of a nuclear blast(where the fireball is). 3. The direct area of what is gonna be a very active place(ie: Volcanic lava pushing through at a certian point, area where tnt will be set etc).
