Hi guys,
I would love if anyone could help me with one evil thing
saving .dds files which I need to modding
Can anybody write what exactly is needed to take this damn picture, take program good for saving this bastard, and save it without errors? I have tried doing that with:
- GIMP (some ridiculous .dds error)
- Paint.Net (well, this is not an issue, because whole Paint.Net for some reason doesn't work on my computer
)
- of course IrfanView is too simple for that, no to mention Paint
- I read Photoshop can convert files into .dds, yeah, I download trial version, of course it CANNOT convert them into .dds. I download Nvidia packet of plugins, including .dds plugin, yes I have Nvidia graphic card, of course I still cannot make .dds pictures necessary for ModBuddy.
Seriously, men, what program and which magical tricks do you use for that?

Ok, I get DDS Converter and next shock - it requires for all images converted to be in the "power of 2" - they should have sizes like 256x256, 512x256, 1024 and so on... Is there someone crazy here? Seriously I have to deform all great works of art in order to save them in this damned .dds format? O_o Are all great works in game deformed in order to have sizes like 512x256?
