I assumed that Civ IV would run very poorly on my system, as it is several years old and only just barely meets the minimum requirements for the game.
But today, when I discovered there is a demo for the game, I decided to give it a try--and to my suprise, the demo runs quite well! (Some delay on map scroll but nothing disastrous.)
My question is, is this likely to be true of the full game, with several computer components on larger maps?
The system is:
AMD XP 2000+
Geforce 5700LE 128MB
1 GB PC2100 RAM
-FrL-
(In a month or two I'll be buying a new system with the following specs:
AMD X6400
Geforce 8800GT (which most predict will run almost as well as the 8800GTS 320MB)
2GB PC6400 RAM
I presume the latter system will run the game flawlessly.)
