I dont know really what section to put this in so i guess this is fine in general xD

so yeah look at the attached screenshot and you will see what i mean :0 and to the west there is 3 lots of silver, which is where i plan to make my next city

Nope, every single thing is set to default, i just got proper lucky, if you dont believe me thats fine but honestly its all set to the default settings, i just selected continents, and clicked start game, my best ever start :L

Fractals* i set the map to that, and i use the reveal map mod (as i find it better than going into that fog the whole game) and i cant see any gold anywhere else, and none of the other civs have it, so yeah im lucky as a mother f bring in the ££££ though thats for sure hahah

He doesn't need a perfect capital. Settle the Gold on the river with the Collective Rule Settler. Instant luxury resale, Hill city tile, river, mountain, Gold, Horses, Forest, Jungle. Absurd city.

Quad Mint and having the capital working tons of quality tiles is nice, but that's playing for the non-existent late game. Because CiV is short, you want to put as many quality tiles in play as possible as quickly as possible. If you have to make some long-run sacrifices to do that, you should.

What I want to know is how the OP can even begin to justify any SP ordering other than Liberty -> Collective Rule here. That second city will be a beast, you can tile share the Cows over to it while building Settlers in the capital to get it off the ground faster, and you can buy a Worker with the luxury resale proceeds.

You wouldn't even consider tradition with this opener? I think it's 5 gold, not 4. That's a pretty monster capital. 6 lux, 2stone/cow/horse, coast and river? Any level below deity, that city alone is enough to win the game.

Why settle on the gold??? You lose the output bonus then, and gold makes a lot of coins.

Unless they changed that, I havnt played for a while.

I'd settle on the hill with a jungle which gets 3 golds, horses, riverside and mountainside.

yeah i use the "Reveal Map Mod" search the "Online" section of the mods section of the game is is like x----- reveal map mod... (--- are because i cant spell it as havnt been on for ages xD )


Hope this helps some people may dislike the mod but i prefer it tbh
