On the Faction Editor

Whenever I fire up FacEdit, the background doesn't load and all the template text overlaps when I cycle through the different screens. Then the program freezes up when I try to add a faction to the game. I know it's buggy, but this is ridiculous.

Anybody know how to fix this, or if there's an alternative way to add factions to the game without replacing the existing ones?

Dunno, but I always got it to work as long as that's all I did. Edited the faction in notepad.
