In June, the DNC announced it would refuse to accept donations from fossil fuel companies, taking a step towards embracing the new energy economy. Huzzah!
This month, the DNC reversed that policy. Okay, Xochitl Hinojosa says it wasn’t a reversal, but Hinojosa is basically Sarah Saunders for the DNC with about as much credibility.
Wildfires burn in California and the EPA says climate change is a hoax. The DNC pays lip service to climate change, but refuses to let the knowledge that reliance on fossil fuels is killing the planet prevent it from lining its pockets with oil money.
The Democratic retake of American government will be meaningless if Democrats do not have the spine to lead by their values, rather than their pocketbooks.
