One Swordsman == But shows three in the picture?

Hello! I'm new here!

I wanted to ask something. Can anyone tell me how there are three Swordsmen and Four Settlers represented in this picture?

In my game, a Swordsman has just one figure in it. Not three as shown in this picture. Is it because I play on the least difficulty level?

You have the graphics option 'single unit graphics' selected. Deselecting it will give multiple characters per unit.

It's because you have single-unit graphics selected. May have been auto-selected by the game to enhance performance.


The multiple-figure units are no different, game-play wise, from the single-figure units. They're just playing a bit more clearly to the idea that a unit represents a group of swordsmen/pikemen/tanks/settlers, rather than a single person.

There was a big mod for C3 that added multiple-figure units.

Showing single-figure units is a bit easier on your computer.

The main benefit to having multiple figures showing is that it's easier to see which units are damaged. (When not at full strength the swordsman will show as 2 or 1 figure) I always look at the actual strength though so it makes more sense to me to leave single unit graphics on.
