PArental watchdog group gives CSI worst program label.

Well i haven't watched CSI, must say that forensic science isn't exactly the basis for the most exciting of television (although it has to beat the "reality" tv shows). What I've seen of CSI didn't inspire me, and i figure it's just gonna be another of the Law and Order type shows where the good guys always win and the bad guys always slip up. Can't stand that rubbish anymore

not really I've seen episodes where bad guys won because they can't prove it wihtout a reasonable doubt. I haven't watched it recently even though the good guy usually wins, their are some where they totally lose or it turns out it was a total accident.

more on the topic i think the people in the PCT(whereever that stands for) need to get a life and worry about their little kids who are right now probably watching some horrible violent graphic show instead of having a discussion about why they hate a TV show.

I notice that "Will & Grace" is up there in the worst 10 and "Touched By An Angel" is rockin' it among the best 10... I smell an AGENDA!

Conclusion: There is nothing worth watching on TV

Funny you need a parents group to help you realize it ;) I stopped paying tribute to the magic box long ago.. except for the occasional "Friends" episode :p

The Simpsons used to be a great show... now they're kind of winding down towards the inevitable fund-cutting :(

I'm still trying to figure out what parents could possibly see wrong in Angel :) And i dunno about the US, but here, it's on at 10:30pm so there isn't much chance of kids watching it.

No i didn't, it just supports my conclusion :)
And yeah. if i was going to pick one tv show to watch, it'd be friends :D

yeah i think the simpsons have done their dash.

What's worse is that CBS occasionally reruns the show at the 8 p.m. hour when more children are likely to be watching, said Melissa Caldwell, research director for the 800,000-member organization that monitors sex and violence on TV.
Lemme see. We've got the "V-chip", cable boxes and satellite tuners with programmable parental controls, and - ultimately - the OFF switch. Melissa, I'm starting to think this really isn't about the kids. Sounds like you don't want anybody to watch these shows.

God's TV station :p

"CSI" is a little low-brow, I think. It's "Law & Order" for teenagers and people with ADD. I really wouldn't want my kids watching either, not when they could be washing dishes or something.

Kids are way better off with no TV, period. Young minds do not need to vegetate.

All the 'good' stuff sucks... :hmm:

I for one, like CSI. I am one of the 26 million that watch it on a regular basis.

Me to. I also am one of the people that watch Angel. I wonder why that isn't #1? Maybe because it also teaches kids how to ward off Vampires?:D  How did Smallville got on the top 10 list? Thats got violence (less then others) and one show had the a girl almost butt naked for almost 10 minutes (not long enough
:( :D  )

bobgote in the US Angel is on at 9pm. Anyone know why Highlander didn't make the list I watch every morning (getting harder as my father orders me to go to bed at 12:30am I only do that if he's still awake
:D ) I mean having someones head cut off....
Is this the same group that said Vice city was a bad game?:D I think that people do use this list as a guide for whats good and whats bad, Bad=the 10 best Good=10 worst.

hmm 9pm sounds reasonable enough
it's only on later here because we don't get a huge following of those shows, they're cult hits, with a dedicated band of followers, but in the end, crap sells better and gets put on at prime time  Buffy was also on at 10:30 until it ended, and the Sopranos starts at 10:30 too :( means if you want to watch anything decent on tv you have to stay up late. Oh, except for inspector rex :) that's on at 7:30, and 8:30, depending on which day/series it is :)

Just out of interest, i noticed that the US has hourly time slots (noticed when i visited, not when you just posted :)), and we have half hourly...what do other countries have in general - around the prime-times?

Of all the programs mentioned, the only ones that would be allowed on Darkshadian television would be 7th Heaven and Inspector Rex.:scan:
Television can shape the personality of a child, if combined properly with other forms of propaganda and indoctrination.

TV is terrible it seems - - - you can't even watch it. Even 7th Heaven is sexed up now for ratings. Kids aren't kids anymore and have become little adults. This is an awful development - - humans need to suck gluttony from a straw. Today we eat it up like hungry swine.

Amen to that.

Half hour here.

He, he, that about 7th heaven sexed-up is so true. And makes a bit comedy. Last time I watched, a stupid sermon about morals in a relationship ("respect", strict no kissing, sex only after marriage, no other girls before bla, bla, bla). Next scene, the oh so decent girl is singing half-naked in a night-club, making the very guy horny who had to listen to the sermon. Yeah, close ups and ass-shaking, all inclusive. That is a clear message the parental-guardiance freaks love, show-belly, move ass and stay virgin. :goodjob:

That's in Wales? You don't have your location set so i can't tell :)

Parent Watchdog Groups are a bunch of b-s. a lot of them who claim to be Parental Groups are really right-wing religous groups, such as the Family Research Center.
