Patch 1.22 ~ Need help downloading it

All links I can find are blocked by college since it considers the link to be from a gaming website (got knows why the forum isn't blocked!)

Anyway, can anyone please host, or upload or email or whatever me the final civ 3 conquests patch?

I have sent it, but it is over 9mb. That can be a problem for some pop servers. I did not zip it as it would only save 2k. Not worth worry if you had WinRar or not.

Windows Live Hotmail has blocked some attachments in this message because they appear to be unsafe.

What a load of assbanditry.. even my email is letting me down.. can't work out how to make it let me download it!! Cheers for trying.

Does the CFC download work? It's hosted by civfanatics.net, so if civfanatics.com isn't blocked, it would seem to make sense that neither would civfanatics.net.

Do you already have the 1.20 patch? That's an important question, as the 9 MB file requires 1.20 first. The one that doesn't is 24 MB. I could host the 9 MB one on Googlepages, but it would still require 1.20, and that's 22 MB, which is above the Googlepages maximum file size limit.

I've no patches, merely conquests.. I think it reads as patch 1.00

For some reason CFC download is blocked (Which is extra odd as i have downloaded other stuff from the download pages!?!?)

Okay, here's another idea. I signed up for Microsoft's free Live Mesh file transfer system, and uploaded the Conquests patch for 1.00 to 1.22 to a folder there. I've invited you via the email in post #1 to be able to access the folder; you should be receiving an email about it shortly. You'll have to install Live Mesh, but then you should be able to sign in and download the files from IE and supposedly Firefox and Safari as well. I've never used it before so I'm not sure exactly how it works when you're accessing someone else's files, but right-click Save As will download it for you once you get to the Conquests folder I've uploaded.

Now if your university blocks Live Mesh as a "gaming" site, I'm not sure what to do next.

Well then next thing is to see if anyone in the school has the patch and can put on a thumb or burn it to CD. You may be able to find a patched version for less than 10, with a little looking.

Right. I've travelled home for the holidays and having set up a wireless network at home are happily downloading it.

Yahoo, glad to hear it. Now you just have to worry about the Securom bug. Some it gets and some it does not.
