Patch Coming?

I have an on-board Intel Extreme Graphics Chip. Video Cards don't work with my system. I've read here that others are experiencing the "only teeth and eyes" and dark map problems. Question is: Will there be a patch in the future or am I out of luck?

My guess would be that any patch released will not address this. The game says it requires hardwar T&L. The Intel processors do not support this. I think I read that some have reported that they have worked around it as the higher ones support software T&L, but I am not sure on that one. Since your card is officially unsupported I wouldn't expect any fixes from Firaxis.

That said, since there are so many issues, they very well could make the game work with software T&L just to get around some of them. Dunno. you may want to wait and see, but my guess is that you are probably out of luck.

I think that "teeth and eyes" is related to imability of rendering to texture with Intel chips. Just because the bodies are blurred like it is a small-res stretched image, so it requires rendering to texture (kind of NFS:U1).
