Patch problems

I have tried to install the patch Civ3v129f.exe a number of times and all I get is a message asking me if I want to completely remove the selected application and all it's components. How do I get the patch to work. Please help. Thanks

Uninstall the game. Then go to this page, and follow the directions. After everything is deleted, reinstall/repatch.

Turner 727, I followed your instructions, went to the atari support page. went into my registery keys. Did great until the end when I tried to find the file to delete {0AD84416-63A4-4CF3-BDDF-8FA866711FB0} It wasn't there. I reinstalled Civ and the patch but I get the same message ( asking me if I want to completely remove the selected application and all it's components) and it just won't work. Any other ideas??? Thanks again

when you start regedit, go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall

then click on all the { ... } folders.. and look at the DisplayName entries to the right.. delete all the {..} entries that has to do with Civilization 3.. Every patch that was installed would have their own unless it was uninstalled..
