PBEM Error, please answer quickly

When I'm trying to load a PBEM save a message pops up and says:

"The save file you have selected is protected to ensure that the assets in your mod folder have not been changed"

I already reinstalled the game twice. The second time after uninstalling I even manually removed the game folder

Can anyone check the save file and/or tell me what to do?

WCIS it worked fine with me (1.52 patch). IIRC If you uninstall civ4 there is still files lefted over in the civ4 program file. Try uninstalling again then look in programs/Firaxis you will still see the civ4 folder. Delete civ4 folder then reinstall game with 1.52 patch. Hopefully this will solve your problem. (after reinstalling it's usefully to make a backup copy of civ4 into a another folder just in case.)

P.S. I assume when you said you removed the game folder you were referring to the folder in your documents ( Documents/my games/civ4) right? You can either renamed this folder in documents if you want to save it for the future uses or delete it. If you have download mods into your document game folder then it will not loaded PBEM nor GOTM games.
