PCVII: Wang Kong

Prince/Epic. 850 BC.

This will be a first attempt without huts and events; hopefully the financial trait and UB will compensate.
Spoiler :
Settled in place. Fishing boat and worker altered for timing as the first build followed by the units required for a four city empire. The tech path was: fishing, BW, hunting, AH, wheel, pottery, archery, sailing, agriculture, writing and masonry.

With coastlines discovered everywhere but to the west (from where the competitors were coming - one still a mystery) P'yongyang was founded EEN of the western copper in 2275. A bridge too far? The connector city of Wosan was placed 1NW of the northern flood plain in 1675 and in 1125 Pusan was was sited half-way between the corn and the fish after a near-by barbarian city was destroyed.

Seoul is 17 turns short of the GLH. When the cultural building of the western holdings' territorial defence is soon completed the issue of military weakness will be addressed.

Prince/Epic. 1020 AD.
Spoiler :
After Currency and CoL Korea was able to comfortably establish the iron/ gems city and the copper/rice city. Wonder-wise, the GLH was acheived in Seoul as well as the Colossus; the Great Library was recently missed for 422 gold. A fourth century trade mission to Carthage was most profitable.

In 685 AD the Buddhists Huayna Capac, Suryavarman II and Hannibal attacked Darius I. Korea declared against Persia in 775 with a modest force of macemen and hwachas. When Persia fell in 950 AD Korea held Persepolis and Ecbatana to the SE. The NW city was destroyed while Carthage had the Jewish HQ to the SW of the former capital.

The next war cannot be too far distant and religion may be a tricky decision.

Prince/Epic. 1849 AD. Domination Victory.
Spoiler :
Finally, finished. After the Persian War there was a long period of development. The economy was reasonable, relations with neighbours were not and a new army had to be developed. Switching to the majority religion of Buddhism was a boost and massive culture building in Persepolis provided an excellent forward staging area for four wars (five if we count the unfortunate Carthaginian Incident).

There was some heavy bribing combined with more and better troops at the front. The era of the four wars began with cavalry, riflemen and cannons and ended with the addition of machine guns and infantry. The capitulations were as follows: Pericles (the non-Buddhist) 1740, Suryavarman II (who by siding with Carthage lost his Incan pact) 1814, Augustus Caesar (who turned out to be a most effective vassal) 1828, Huanya Capac 1848.
