Permanently Disabling Single Unit Graphics

On my PC, the game keeps switching back to single unit graphics. I'm assuming this is because my PC is so old and my graphics card isn't very good.

With this said, I still would prefer multi-unit graphics (even if it costs a little bit of performance), so is there a way to permanently set that?

I've already posted in C&C subforum and no one seemed to know there, so...

Since no one appears to know, I'm assuming this is impossible...has anyone else ever had the game constantly switch back to single-unit graphics?

Or is my PC just that bad that it's the only one that does it???
