at the scenario properties page. got a option called '' permit plague''.

do u guys ''check'' tis option?

how powerful is this plague effect ?

Check the Civ-Content folder, there's already a withplague.biq (don't remember the exact name).
In general, maximum plague (like in the Middle Ages Conquest) is brutal, but in the epic game, its effects are pretty random. For most of the time, it won't hurt you much, but I had a game where I had to defend against a (stronger) neighbor, and exactly the crucial border town was hit by plague, killing off lots of defenders...
And don't forget it almost for sure will hit your best cities, since it is trade-related...

I always enable plagues. I usually get hit once by a plague, but don't get to see the AI get hit by one, unless the city is on my borders. And every scenario/map I make, I have a different plague. I have run through the basic cholera and typhoid type communicable diseases, so in one scenario I have diarhhea as the plague. Hey, people die from it!

What's the message over affect cities? "Horrors! The diarrhea has hit London!"

I tried the plague on the same setting as the medievil and I stopped playing after it spread to all my cities, killed 2 armies and was still going strong after 64 turns. It must have killed hundreds of AI units though considering they each had over 500 units each.
