I notice you can clear the jungle or forest and could be plant trees?

Actually Dale, you could do this the same way I am "planting" corn. In fact, I started doing my farming mod with the idea of planting forest. However, on reflection I am not sure this is a good idea. While forestry was practiced by europeans from medieval times at least, reforestation is something from a more recent time. I do not think they had the ability to replant whole forests during the colonization period. Whether from lack of knowledge or lack of desire I don't know.
So I do not think this is appropriate in Col, although it is in Civ4 given the development of appropriate technology in the appropriate era. Go look on the internet and you will find there are many reforestation projects throughout the world today. But I found nothing to indicate this was done before the early 20th century.

OK. And as you have seen in my other thread, you can mod it in but graphics could be a problem. First, I don't think reforestation is a good idea for this game, but if you do want to do it (or any other such mod) it should be graphically compatible. By that, I mean the game graphics are very good, and you should not throw anything in there with cheesy, 2D graphics.
At any rate, if I can get my mod to work fully I will share it, along with an option for the reforestation for those who may want to do that.
