After playing Gallic Wars, which is a great scenario overall, I see there are problems with lua season shifting. Mostly when I start from the end of summer to the first turn of winter the unit movement points for land are halved as designed but the naval vessels somehow have their movement points doubled and their artillery movement cost go down so every November in the scenario I was going ultra ham on Naval attacks, the key was I could NEVER reload until all my naval vessels were expended because all the movement points would be reset to normal. This also meant that Ceasar's wintertime admin bonus, which was 2 points and his movement at five, and then 10 when I reloaded meant I could admin bonus six times instead of five every turn, which, hey I wasn't turning down.
Cause I was thinking in something like a World War II scenario, having been watching World War II in Real TIme, you really need four seasons because of Russia and the Respultina, the "Time of the Mud", with high non road movement, costs in the winter, the spring and the fall in the steppe terrain but otherwise Europe only needs two. But this would also simulate the German logistical difficulties better because you can only really work on the rails between June and October.
With all the problems that lua can have with auto season changing, I was wondering if a four season thing would be too annoying in a batch file setup?
