Too bad. You probably should have bought Conquests.

Yes, unless you're willing to ferry the CD between your two computers between turns, and if that's the case then you may as well play Hotseat most of the time (unless you meet up regularly at work/school etc and can easily pass the CD on but not both play at the same computer).

You'll need to be more specific, but basically select 'Multiplayer' and then 'Play by E-Mail'. Choose your world and game settings. Select the first civ as yourself and name yourself whatever. Change the second player to human and give them their name. Ad as many AIs as you want. Select civs. Launch.

You don't need to enter each others e-mails here. Give two passwords (one for admin, one for your civ), play your turn, save as normal and mail the save as an attachment. Both players repeat steps 2 and 3 until game is over.

Also, Read this thread.

The general idea of PBEMs are so that people with different schedules and not living in the same area can still play each other so in general both people need separate CDs since otherwise you would have to pass the CD between the two of you which would mean hotseating would be the better option or a standard online game of Civ as C3C and I assume PTW don't need the CD to run once they are running.

Basically each player plays the turn as normal but then they exit the game and save the game. They then attach the saved file to an email and send it to the next player who opens the save, plays the turn, saves the new turn, and sends it back. Not very quick but the game doesn't collapse if someone gets a new job where they are no longer online at the same time as the other players.

thanks, I have conquests too... If i have Play the world Can i i give him MY conquests Cd? and we can play between PTW--Conquests??????????????????????????????????/

You need to be playing the same version of the game and both be using the same patch. Although C3C also comes with PTW so you should both be able to play a PTW PBEM.

Now be smart ! Keep conquests and give HIM PTW :-)

You don't need to enter e-mail addresses, basically when you turn is over, you save your turn like any save then take it from your saves folder and send it to your pal by e-mail. He puts it in his Saves folder, load it from Civilization, plays, saves,.......

Cant that cause problems? like He screws up my game and takes my turn and stuff?

anybody wanna play a 1 vs 1 PBEM?? if so LOok at the threads list for a game called PBEM 1 vs 1!!! or something close, thats my thred
