Playing the music without the original CD?

So basically, my CD is very old and wouldn't work anymore. This means that I cannot play the music.
Assuming I get the original music files, can I:
1. Make the game play them without using a disc?
2. Burn the music files to a CD and then use it as if it was the original?

There's no option on making the game itself playing the music from files on the hard drive? that sucks a bit.

This is a little off-topic but why are the tracks in the tutorial are different from those shown in youtube? (http://www.youtube.com/view_play_list?p=ADB78733DA0672FA&search_query=civilization+ii)

The tracks posted in the Tuorial are from the Multiplayer Gold Edition, while the tracks you listed are from the original release of Civ 2. Those are the tracks I'm trying to integrate into my backup MGE CD

Search google for some program that converts youtube videos into mp3/wav format. I don't know one personally but I'm sure there are plenty of those in the internet

You can buy a new copy of civ 2 on e-bay for about $5.
