Has anyone tried playing a full game without the mouse? It is still possible to move units around but changing production queues or % of commerce set to science is difficult.
I don't think you could play the game without a mouse. Unless you used the Windows Mouse Emulation that can be used via the keyboard.
My sig has links to LoneWolf's .pdf files for Civ3, PTW & Conquests. You might look through there and see if there are keyboard shortcuts for things like production.
Well, I can only speak for myself, but I do take a strange sort of pride in not needing the mouse while working in Windows. I can do almost anything (operating my word processor, my media player, and lots of other programs) with only the keyboard. It makes me feel like, well, some kind of über geek and a computer veteran
It's like saying: "I've been using computers longer than you have. I am not dependant on a graphical interface. We didn't need mice back in the DOS days, so why would I need one now?"
Silly, isn't it?
Other than that, I figure it may prevent against RSI. But on the other hand, hammering on a keyboard is repetitive too.
I can do everything without the mouse, except movement. I just can't get the hang of it with the numeric keypad. I went back to using a mouse/keyboard combo.
