Hi all, few questions ...
1) is possible to play civ3 without the civ3 Cd inside ?
2) is possible to upgrade units inside an army ?
3) there is a place where I can see what I'm trading with who, the trade accord and when does it expires ?
4) there is, like in civ2, the possibility to know
what make my people unhappy ?
5) why, if I got a lot of different luxuries, sometime I have one happy face near the first two, two happy faces nera the second two and three happy faces near the last two ? That means that my fifth and sisth luxuries resources give me, each, 3 happy faces ?
6) sometimes the strategic resources disappear! It is random or it's more probabel if I use the resources a lot ?
7) is really worst the game patched than teh original one ? Could I finish a saved non-patched game with the patched game ?
thank you anyway

1) There's probably a crack somewhere on the internet to play without CD. Firaxis has releases a non-safedisk EXE for people who have problems running the game because of the copy-protection
2) Yes I think
3) The trade advisor
4) I think the domestic advisor tells you that
5) Well, No
6) Recources can get depleted
7) No problems with the patch and yrs you can play your original savegame

2) No, it is NOT possible to upgrade units inside an army. Neither can units be removed or replaced from an army.

5) Yes, the two first luxuries makes one happy face, the two next makes two, and so on...
But ONLY if you have a MARKETPLACE in the city.

3) In the trade advisor, you can see WHO you are trading with by holding the cursor over the items under "import" and "export"

To see what you pay for the trade, how long it lasts, and renegotiate the trade: You must contact the civ you are trading with and select "active".

If a trade expires, you will be notified.

4) Just click on an "unhappy face" and a pop-up will tell you what makes them unhappy.

5) Marketplaces multiply happy faces from successive luxuries. For example:
Jems H
Dyes H
Spice HH
Fur HH
Booze HHH
TobacoHHH
ergo if you've six luxuries a marketplace doubles the happy faces this creates, if you are a civ that doesn't get a metro bonus don't build hospitals and you people will be happy and less courupt.
