please, build me a spaceship

OK, what parts are required in what numbers and how do you read the spaceship picture? What does the asterisk (*) next to structural unit count mean? How can you tell what parts are "connected"?

ALSO, I read somewhere here that one could feed spaceship part building with freights. I tried it a couple of times and it looks like I'm getting 25 shields not 50. Was it that you could build a wonder and freely convert that stockpile to a spaceship part?

Lots of questions there.

A spaceship requires specific numbers of each part. At the end of the first post of this link:

I listed the Smallest, Best OCC, Fastest, and Biggest spaceship configurations.

The (*) means you do not have enough of a particular part- usually the Structural. You do not need to worry about "connections".

The freight trick is simple, but requires an unbuilt wonder. Start the wonder, add one or more freights, then switch to the spaceship part. Switching from a wonder to a spaceship part does not incur the 50% penalty.
