please heklp i get error message when tyring to insatll

I installed the DIrect X and when I go to install the game I get a message syaing to go to COntrol Panel and configure system components. Like what the F is that supposed to mean? I am above allt eh system requuirements. Please help!

What direct x do you speak of and where did you get it?

System specs make and model of computer and a dx diag please.

Might help to shed some light on the matter.
