Please Help! Im Getting Perturbed :-(

i am so annoyed, all i can say is im perturbed, i cant even cuss!!

anyways, 2 things, since i dont have the manual im hoping someone can help. in the civolopedia, it says to establish an embassy, double-click on the capital city. well, ive done this on my capital and on the capital i want to install an embassy, but nothing about embassies is coming up!! can someone help? and, i am connected to the other civ and we all have the advancement to create embassies and such.

secondly, i was in my advisors screen, and i click on the top-most one (not sure what it is called, but its the one where you can change govts). there is a way to set your mobilization to war-time, and i did just to see what it would do. now, i cant switch it back. its been over 50 turns, and it will not switch it back. does anyone know how i can switch that back? i cant build my normal buildings with that on!!!

1. To establish embassies double click on the Star that is next to your city name, or what I do is Control-E.

2. Shift-M changes mobilizations, but you may have to end any wars you are in to be able to change it. I don't really know about this, I've never used this option.

To establish an embassy simply double click on the "star" located just the the right of your Capital's <i>name</i>. Not inside the city itself, but when you're looking at your Catipal from the main viewpoint you will see a star beside its name. It should be easy to spot because no other city in your civ has it.

As per your second question, if you initiate mobilization when not at war with anyone, you must first start a war and then end the war to be able to get out of mobilization. You must <b>end the war</b> to exitiate mobilization.

damn, thanks guys! that was quick. all i was missing was clicking on the star. i sure wish the pedia wouldve said that ;-) and, i did do it in peacetime, but someone declared on me just last night, so ill try it after that war. thanks

Another way to do it is right-click on your capital city and a menu will pop-up. choose "Conduct Espionage" and you will be given a list of countries to establish embassies with.

This also works for spies. Right-click on the cioty where you built your intelligence agency and click "Conduct Espionage" from the pop-up menu.

well, that was the problem. if you set your mobilization to war-time while you are not at war, you will have to declare war with someone and then go to peace and it will go back to normal. that should be changed.
